I’m Lisa Flanders-Dick, and I know how overwhelming the world of educational technology can feel.  It’s my passion to empower leaders to positively impact education with the effective use of technology in teaching and learning,

  • I have over two decades of experience in K12 education, creating innovative classroom experiences utilizing technology to foster creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration.
  • The concentration of my Master in Education was Research, Theory, and Design within the Curriculum and Instruction major. My Doctorate of Education is in Educational Leadership in the K12 setting.
  • I developed a multi-level leadership model for effective technology-enhanced teaching and learning, which is research-based, extracting data from dynamic districts right here in Louisiana.
  • Emergent technology research and application continue through my roles in the College of Education at Louisiana Tech University.

I provide practical research-driven solutions through consulting, coaching, and professional development. The isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution for any element of education. Over the past 25+ years, my job has expanded from that of a teacher to also include many opportunities outside of the classroom from researcher to grant writer, project coordinator to staff developer, teaching and learning consultant to professor. Currently, I coordinate a teaching and learning center, the Hub which is located in the College of Education at Louisiana Tech University. The leadership model I mentioned in the top portion of this page is the Team Empowered Leadership Model (TELM) which focuses on a multi-level approach to educational leadership. My research focuses on elements connected to this leadership model as well as online instruction and technology-enhanced teaching and learning. When I’m isn’t working, I enjoy time with my family and friends while typically having a renovation or design project in our historic cottage.
