Are you ready to get your Google DRIVEers license? It won’t take long for you to be a Google Drive master! Some of you might remember the floppy disk where we would store our files to bring them from one computer to another. If not, I am sorry you missed this fascinating part of technology history:) They were basically equivalent to our now a day flash drives AKA jump drives but with much less storage and reliability.
Let’s think about your use of a flash drive. You are able to save files and organize everything in folders. If you no longer wish to have a document, you can delete it. You can even share these files with a colleague. One flash drive might have everything from photos to documents to pdfs to PowerPoints.
Google Drive takes this technology to the next level! It is your flash drive in the cloud! Google basically opened up their servers AKA computers for easy storage of our digital life. Not only can you store and organize files but you can quickly share them and even make copies with just a click. You are also able to quickly add docs, slides, forms and more from right there in your Drive. Are you ready to dig a little deeper into Google Drive?
The following video will quickly introduce you to the basics of Google Drive starting with logging in. In less than ten minutes you will know how to sign in, creating and organizing folders, uploading and download files/folders, share files/folders, color code folders, making copies of files, and the difference between my drive and shared with me.
